This is a museum dedicated to preserving Malta's long maritime history.

National Museum of Archaeology
This is the repository of ancient artifacts from most of the archaeological digs in Malta and Gozo , such as those from the Ghar Dalam grotto.

National Museum of Fine Arts
This is Malta 's most important museum dedicated to the fine arts. On display are works by prominent artists including Mattia Preti, Guido Reni, and Giuseppe Ribera. There is a good cross-section of works from the 14 th century to the early 20 th century.

National Museum of Natural History
This museum preserves fossils of native fauna and flora. Among the most significant is the prehistoric wildlife that flourishes in Gozo .

The Teatru Manoel is the most central theater and opera house in Malta , and the country's national theater. It has been built and rebuilt many times over since it was first built in the year 1731. Ghar Dalam
The grotto of Ghar Dalam is the most important archaeological and historical site in Malta . This is where evidence of the earliest civilizations was found, as well as well-preserved remains of the oldest wildlife in Malta . The name translates to the cave of darkness. Ghar Dalam is about 144 meters long, the result of rapid water currents.
